It has always been my endeavour to work for the betterment of women in terms of their status, livelihood and gender parity in all fields. A woman carries her family and as a result of the society forward.
The reason for setting up “The Women’s Association for Training Empowerment and Resettlement Regd. (WATER)” was to contribute towards the process of skill development & enhancement as well as providing infrastructure and support to women at all levels to enable them to imbibe equal opportunities for employment.
This has been a journey of tremendous satisfaction for me when I see WATER “The Women’s Association for Training Empowerment and Resettlement (Regd.)” working alongside women at grass root levels and helping them to overcome obstacles and difficulties to emerge as strong feisty & independent women capable of earning their own livelihood!
I believe economic empowerment is the key to women’s upliftment as all government schemes are of no use till the time she can reach the place to avail the benefits. She should be able to afford basic minimum expenses from her own income.
My battle for women’s empowerment will be over the day people of India will start praying for a girl child.
WATER- Women’s Association for Training, Empowerment and Resettlement was established in the year 2002,
