Mujhe jeene Do, is an initiative of Nationwide Awareness campaign by “WATER”- ‘Mujhe Jeene Do’ campaign started from Gadarpur on October 2015, is a program to generate awareness about female foeticide, gender inequality, sexual harassment and to curb violence against women and girls in the Hill state of Uttarakhand and whole of the nation. It was through this campaign that we wanted to spread the message that every girl has an equal right to live and co-exist respectfully in our country, where equality is a constitutional right.
The event was attended by over 12000 people who took an oath against killing the unborn girl child. Mujhe Jeene do has also become the defining pillar for various other women empowerment programs. The live performances were done by singer Mr. Ashok Masti, Bollywood celebrity Ms. Rashmi Desai & Ms. Sonal graced the event their presence live performances were done by a school from Haldwani & Beat Breakers group of Kolkota.
Chief Guest of the event was Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Harish Rawat along with Cabinet Minister Shri Yashpal Arya and Shri Harak Singh Rawat, Mr. Prakash Joshi, Mr. Tilak Raj Behar, Shri Ishwar Chand Gangwar & MR. Sanjiv Arya were amongst the guest of honor.
